Privacy Policy

How NovaSwitch collects, uses and protects your personal data.

Last updated: 14 September 2026

1. Who we are

NovaSwitch is operated by DealFusion Digital Solutions Limited (RC 8721387), Lagos, Nigeria ("we", "us"). We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.

We process personal data in line with the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 and related regulations. Contact us about privacy at support@dealfusion.co.uk.

2. What we collect

  • Waitlist and contact forms: your email address, and optionally your phone number, name, the service you're interested in and your message.
  • App account (once launched): name, email address, phone number and login details.
  • Transactions: the service, recipient phone number, meter or smartcard number, amount, fees, status and references.
  • Identity verification: only if a service or provider requires it, for example BVN or ID details. We'll tell you why before we ask.
  • Device and usage data: device type, operating system, app version, crash logs and a push notification token if you allow notifications.

3. Why we use it

  • To provide the services you ask for and send receipts (performance of a contract).
  • To prevent fraud, keep accounts secure and meet legal and regulatory obligations (legal obligation and legitimate interests).
  • To answer support requests and tell you about changes to the service (legitimate interests).
  • To send launch updates and offers, only if you've agreed. You can opt out at any time (consent).

4. Who we share it with

We never sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers that help us run NovaSwitch, under agreements that protect it:

  • Bill payment and airtime providers (for example VTpass or Monnify) to complete your purchases.
  • Payment and collection providers to receive and process payments.
  • Infrastructure providers that host our website, app backend and database (for example Netlify and Supabase).
  • Push notification and app delivery services.
  • Regulators, law enforcement or courts when the law requires it.

Some of these providers store data outside Nigeria. Where that happens, we rely on the safeguards allowed under the Nigeria Data Protection Act.

5. How long we keep it

  • Waitlist details: until launch plus 12 months, or until you ask us to remove them.
  • Account data: while your account is open.
  • Transaction records: for as long as financial and anti-fraud laws require, even after your account is closed.

6. Your rights

You can ask us to:

  • Give you a copy of your personal data.
  • Correct inaccurate data.
  • Delete your data, where we don't need to keep it by law.
  • Restrict or object to certain processing.
  • Withdraw consent to marketing at any time.

Email support@dealfusion.co.uk or visit our Delete Your Account page. If you're unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.

7. Security

We use encrypted connections, restrict access to personal data and keep provider credentials on our servers. No system is completely secure, so please protect your password and never share one-time codes.

8. Changes to this policy

We'll update this page when our practices change and tell you in the app or by email about significant changes.
